STUDENT BEHAVIOR AGREEMENT:

STUDENTS CODE OF CONDUCT

Responsibilities:

 Student attending to TCCC school will;

  • come to classes prepared, on time, and ready to learn;
  • show respect for themselves, for others, and for those in authority;
  • follow the established rules and taking responsibility for their own actions;
  • speak in Tibetan all the time;
  • submit all homework and assignments on time and complete to the best of their ability;
  • refrain from being in the halls or outside during classes;
  • show proper care and regard for TCCC property and the property of others;
  • dispose all trash and waste in the proper manner and use appropriate containers;

Attendance & Lateness

  • be on time for classes and will attend classes regularly;
  • make up the work missed during my absence;

Dress Code
Obey the dress code which prevents from wearing of hats, inappropriate insignia or dress;

Conduct & Behaviour

  • refrain from bringing anything to school that may compromise the safety of others;
  • any form of misconduct and misbehaviours such as bullying, vandalism, abuse are not acceptable during the class hours and within the TCCC premises. In the event of such act occurs, students will be given warning and parent will be notified. After three successive warning, parents will be notified to withdraw the child from the program.

PARENT’S RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Be Supportive and encouraging;
  2. Provide appropriate involvement in the homework activity;
  3. Set regular homework routines with flexibility;
  4. Provide a note of explanation when home work is incomplete;
  5. Ensure your child is reading, or is read to, on daily basis at home;
  6. Please submit fees and forms on time;
  7. Drop and pick up child on time as TCCC is not a daycare centre;
  8. inform TCCC by telephone 416-410-5606 for student’s absence;
  9. Pick up child/ward for lunch or provide lunch at TCCC as TCCC will not be responsible for any situation or incident during the lunch period
  10. TCCC in writing if their child will be absent for an extended period;
  11. Provide a written notice should your child decide to quit the program. Without formal notification of withdrawal, a student’s status will continue to be considered active and program fees will continue to accumulate.

We have read the above code of conduct and agree to follow the rules within it.

Medical Condition:
Should it become necessary for my child / ward to have medical care, I hereby give the teacher permission to use his/her best judgement in obtaining the best of such service for my child/ward. I also understand that in the event of such illness or accident, I will be notified as soon as possible.

Cell Phone or Screen Policy
In order to have an effective learning atmosphere, we discourage the use of cell phones and other screen devices such as ipads, tablets or gadgets (except educational purposes) in the school campus. However, students (grade 5 and 6) can have access to their phones during recess if they have to contact their parents). If a student fails to follow this guideline three times consequently, the parents will be informed and action will be taken by the school administration.
