Since opening its doors, the TCCC has undergone extensive change from a lighting factory to a community gathering place for over 25,000 visitors of Tibetan and non-Tibetan descent. Our programs and services are managed under the following core areas:
• Social: literacy and basic skills, culture and youth;
• Health: Seniors; meditation, wellness and philosophy;
• Heritage and Education: Tibetan language instruction; community festivals and events and
• Special Services and events: Guest speakers, Annual Gala Dinner and community use of space.
When the Tibetan Canadian Cultural Centre held community meetings, the unanimous decision was in favour of moving forward with the proposed building project. Clearly, our community members believe in a bright future for TCCC. Our vision includes nearly doubling current seating capacity in the facility, increasing meeting and classroom spaces and improving our ability to expand programs, services, outreach and revenue streams.
