Inspired by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama’s message for the promotion of harmony and the importance of preserving Tibet’s unique culture, the Tibetan Canadian Cultural Centre (TCCC) project was conceived in 2004 during the Toronto Kalachakra for World Peace initiation. At that time the community received blessings from His Holiness for the establishment of a centre for the preservation of Tibetan heritage.
The TCCC was acquired and established on October 17, 2007, the auspicious day when His Holiness received the highest civilian award, the US Congressional Gold Medal. TCCC has obtained federal registration as a charitable organization.
