Sun June 21, 2020: On the last day of Saka Dawa (Tibetan Holy month – 4th month in the Tibetan lunar calendar), TCCC organized Medicine Buddha prayers at the centre to conclude the holy month in an auspicious way. 8 monks leaded the prayers and the event was broadcast live on Facebook. Figures (Torma) made mostly of Tsampa (barley) and butter used in tantric rituals or as offerings in Tibetan Buddhism was used. These are dyed in different colors, often with white or red for the main body of the torma. It was an all day event from 10 am – 5 pm.
With the understanding of all the stress and challenges that we all are facing during this challenging time, TCCC arranged prayers for the benefit of all sentient beings. We pray for everyone’s well being. Tibetans consider the Medicine Buddha to be the most powerful blessing for healing, dispelling sickness and for awakening the innate healing wisdom that lies within each individual
