Dear Community Members and Dharma practitioners:

We are happy to announce this year’s Kagyur Reading at Gangjong Choedenling. Please join this meritorious act of reading Kagyur -the holiest Buddhist Cannon- whole set of Buddha’s teaching and Tengyur – great works and commentaries by later Buddhist Masters.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama always stresses the importance of studying Buddhism and understanding it without blind faith. It may be informed that Reading Kagyur is one of the ways to study and imbibe Buddha’s teaching.

We have arranged to have Venerable Lama or Geshe la to explain the benefits of reading Kagyur and Tengyur on the opening day.

Start Day and Date: Wednesday March 12, 2014

Schedule: Every Day from 10AM-5PM till the completion of the reading of the whole sets of Kagyur, Tengyur, and Rinchen Ter Zod followed by Bon Kagyur opening.

We request both the respected members of the Sangha as well as general community members who have time and inclination to take part in the reading.

The seniors who can not read Tibetan can recite Mani and other mantras along side the Kagyur Readers.

We request donations to defray the cost of this multiple day program. You can also be a sponsor: whole day program ($455), Lunch Sponsor: ($305) or Tea/Refreshment Sponsor: ($175)
You can also send your donation with your friends or acquaintances and request them to bring back the TCCC receipt for your donation.

Official TCCC receipts are issued for any amount of donation and if requested receipt for income tax purpose are also issued.
